LIFE IMAGES
Year: 2025
Categories: Identity, Printed ephemera
Client: LIFE IMAGES
90×50 mm

The brand identity of LIFE IMAGES, a photo and video studio based in Seoul and Tokyo, was redesigned. The project focused on translating the physical characteristics of film into visual elements.
The horizontal stxrokes of the English logotype were replaced with forms inspired by the perforation holes along the edge of film, creating a loose yet intuitive connection between the logo and the medium. The Chinese characters of the studio’s name, “人生写,” were also incorporated as a key element of the identity. While the juxtaposition of the English and Chinese names had already been a defining feature of the brand, the system was expanded to allow combinations such as “LIFE写” and “人生IMAGES.”
In the business card design, the perforation elements of the logo were laser-cut so that the reverse side becomes visible. The Chinese characters were finished with matte red pigment foil stamping to enhance the overall material quality.
